Channel Manager

Aptco Technologies, a hi-tech company that focuses on the development and commercialization of scientific instruments, is seeking a motivated Channel Manager for its LUXOR and POROMETER product lines. If you’re passionate about technology, sales, and driving business growth, we want you!

Key responsibilities

  • Distributor Engagement: Actively manage the relationship with the existing worldwide distributor network and build and expand worldwide distributor channels.
  • Markets and Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the target market and comprehensive knowledge of products.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the distributor pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and deals.
  • Travel and Networking: Visit the distributors and participate in conferences worldwide to promote Aptco Technologies and its products (travel 1-3 days/month).
  • Strategic Sales Initiatives: Prepare, implement and optimize annual budgets, long-term and short-term strategic sales plans and initiatives with the product manager to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Product portfolio: Make recommendations for the product roadmap based on information gathered during events and interactions with distributors.
  • Marketing: Devise and launch marketing activities in collaboration with the marketing team and product management in function of the business plan.

Daily activities

  • Transmit leads to the distributor network and actively follow up on distributor forecasts.
  • Serve as the first-line distributor point of contact for all sales, technical, service, logistics or administration related inquiries.
  • Look for, evaluate and onboard new distributors.
  • Support distributors during local events.
  • Participate in international events, seminars and exhibitions.
  • Acquire a good knowledge of the markets, competitive landscape and products (sputter coating, electron microscopy, porometry).
  • Translate company goals and strategies into actionable sales opportunities and strategies.

Required skills and experience

  • Professional Experience: Proven track record of at least 2 years in an international B2B sales environment.
  • Educational Background: Higher education with a strong affinity towards high-end research in laboratory technologies.
  • Language Proficiency: Very good command of spoken and written English Proficiency in other languages is considered a plus.
  • Soft skills: Candidates should embody qualities such as being a team player, sociable, and possessing a critical mindset. Additionally, we value individuals who are thorough, persistent, disciplined, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Independent: Capable of working independently and of developing initiatives towards the team and external contacts
  • Self-Education: Committed to engaging in personal learning and development activities.
